Welcome to The Cuan

A note from our Managing Director

A very warm welcome to The Cuan, Strangford, where history and style meet new world sophistication.

Resting amid the Village Green overlooking stunning Strangford Lough, The Cuan is completely in tune with the desirable slow pace of Strangford and it’s historical landmarks.

Since re-opening in May 2021 and after a £1 million renovation, I have been so fortunate to be working alongside an incredible dedicated team who are very much focused on exceeding customer expectations through exceptional service, across all departments.

The Cuan has brought in a new era of exquisite dining, focusing very much on local produce and fresh seafood, all prepared by our award-winning Head Chef, Stevie Conlon and his team.

Our 9 luxury bedrooms, feature a blend of elegant and sumptuous design, offering a quiet village vista.  Rates are from £109.00 B&B.

Everything you need to know before and during your stay with us, from check-in times to the Strangford Ferry timetable, are available upon request at info@thecuan.com.

We look forward to welcoming you and your guests to The Cuan and beautiful Strangford, Co. Down.

With warmest regards,

Richard G Brown
Managing Director

What our guests say

Carmel
February 2023
Comfortable, spacious accommodation. Very well equipped kitchen. The setting overlooking the Lough was so relaxing and most of our time was spent in the well appointed sunroom. The children were thoroughly captivated with the comings and goings of the ferry which we actually took over to Portaferry on one of the days. Dale who dealt with us at check-in was very pleasant and helpful as was Karen who we dealt with when booking the accommodation. All in all a very enjoyable stay away with family to celebrate a milestone birthday. Thanks Karen.

The property is very well presented and in a beautiful location. Private parking is provided with fantastic views over the water. We held a reunion at the property and the large kitchen, 3 receptions and ample bedrooms made it a comfortable stay.
