The Cuan seafood restaurant on the shores of Strangford Lough, has a history of serving excellent food for over twenty five years.
Our very settled team of six chefs have a combined wealth of experience with 154 years ‘clocked up’ between them.
Consistent throughout all of these years is a passion for the seasonal use of local produce, taking our raw ingredients when they are bursting with flavour and freshness. Preparing them in a way that maximises and protects their own unique attributes, giving you a wonderful dining experience and the desire to return for more.

Stayed in The Cuan last weekend , 8 of us celebrating a special birthday. Had a great time, beautiful meal and cosy atmosphere. Very friendly hosts, Peter and Caroline are lovely, and a special mention to the delightful Colman who is wonderful company. Would definitely recommend The Cuan ( have done so already to several people) and will be back. Thank you.
Sometimes you go somewhere and are just blown away by the outstanding hospitality of the staff not to mention the food. My husband is still raving about the burger this morning. 4 of us had dinner there last night. The friendliness of every member of staff was truly amazing. Three burgers and a beef stroganoff and 3 beautiful desserts. I didn’t fancy a dessert so I ordered a coffee. I was asked would I like a little mince pie with the coffee, no charge! Seriously recommend going here if you happen across this gorgeous village.
Great location and the food is delicious. Seafood chowder was amazing with loads of fresh fish. Would really like to visit again and stay.
